Alternate Customer Number

Your Social Security Number uniquely identifies you. Currently, the Customer Number assigned to you has been the same as your Social Security Number. It is now recommended that you use an identifier other than your Social Security Number as your Customer Number.

Alternate Customer Number allows you to create your own Customer Number, instead of using your Social Security Number. The Customer Number you create must be

• Between 8 and 20 characters
• Contain at least one letter
• Contain at least one number

This is currently an optional feature. An Alternate Customer Number can be setup through User Options.
